A city reborn
Nightlife
The Entertainment District
The area around MaoMing Road is where Shanghai comes to life at night. Including MaoMing Road, the three streets in this area are filled with clubs, pubs and bars and are frequented by many of the white-collar and expat workers who live in Shanghai.
The Bund
Nightlife in the cosmopolitan metropolis of Shanghai is about as good as it gets in anywhere in the world, and it revolves around the world-famous Bund. And the views from there aren’t bad either. Standing at the Bund, you’ll see ships and cruisers coming and going on the HuangPu River.
Xin Tian Di
Described to many as the place where “yesterday meets tomorrow”, Xin Tian Di is a fashionable pedestrian street which features old world facades with interiors designed with the latest architectural trends. Visitors can sit back and relax in the cafes, restaurants and bars or shop to their heart’s delight.
Shanghai Grand Theatre
For the music lover in you, there is only one place in Shanghai to go, the Shanghai Grand Theatre in the People’s Square. This local landmark has staged operas, both Chinese and Western styles, musicals, ballets and symphonies.
